Pre Construction Services

We have a lot of experience with construction of Utility Scale Solar Farms. We've estimated, designed, and seen through to Utility witness testing hundreds of megawatts of Solar. We've seen what works well and what doesn't. This gives us valuable insight when reviewing pre-construction designs for buildability and providing VE suggestions. The current challenges in the supply chain are making it even more difficult to manage the problems created by difficult design. Some of the most common issues we repeatedly find are as follows: 

•   Undersized or incorrect conductors paired to overcurrent protection devices. 
• Oversized MV cables that are incompatible with the transformer bushings. 
• Unreasonably long directional bores that potentially compromise conductor pulls. 
• Challenging and unnoticed civil designs with extreme elevation changes that cause 
• Water Inundation of electrical equipment, impacting system production.
•  Marginal review or takeoff of the electrical drawings that create opportunities for an over or under engineered system resulting in possible cost increases, compromised milestone dates and time lost during construction.  

Our team of expert reviewers will do their best to help you avoid any costly mistakes on your drawings. However, we cannot catch every error, as these can vary based on individual projects. Every problem that is prevented on your bid drawings will save time and money in the long run by minimizing the need for RFIs and change orders.
